“Ahimsa”: cultivating peace and respect for the Earth and all living beings
At Yoga Crowd, we want to make it clear that our actions have a direct impact on the environment. Therefore, we have a responsibility to make mindful decisions that protect the well-being of the planet and all its living creatures.
We feel in complete harmony and connection with Mother Nature. We draw on her wisdom and abundance to preserve our health, protect our energy, and enhance our radiance. We are aware that, as humanity, we are all part of one whole (Humee Hum Brahm Hum). That is why we strongly advocate for natural products made by people under optimal working conditions.
Responsibility and Awareness in the Use of Natural Resources
Yoga Crowd was created to remind yogis and non-yogis alike of the need to develop a sense of responsibility and awareness regarding the use of natural resources, our consumption’s impact on the environment, and how we treat the creatures that inhabit this planet. We believe in the power of unity and the power of love to enable us to live in harmony as a society and with the rest of divine creation.
We promote the use of sustainable, organic materials not only for the sake of the environment but also to benefit every person involved in the production chain. We believe in supporting small businesses and preserving traditional craftsmanship, which is not just about keeping the past alive but also about respecting cultural heritage and local communities.

ahimsâpratist hâyâm tatsannidhau vairatyâgah Patanjali, Sutra II.35a
A person who is established in love and compassion (ahimsa) becomes a peaceful, positive influence wherever they go.
We are committed to using organic, cruelty-free products
Today’s high demand for textile production leads to large-scale crops that rely on pesticides and vast amounts of potable water to speed up growth. It is estimated that over 99% of cotton produced worldwide is neither sustainably grown nor organic.
The toxicity of these products and the uncontrolled use of water resources are directly linked to soil erosion, desertification—such as what happened to the Aral Sea—aquifer pollution, and the development of diseases like cancer in farmers working those fields.
As consumers, our skin absorbs these chemicals, causing allergic reactions and other health issues that are just beginning to be studied scientifically.
Behind the manufacturing of synthetic materials (petroleum-based) or semi-synthetic materials (derived from the wood pulp of certain trees) lies a high consumption of energy and water resources, along with the intensive use of chemicals. In addition to the significant environmental cost of production, these materials take a long time (over 200 years) to decompose and release pollutant microfibers into the water and air. Moreover, these types of materials block the free flow of energy through our bodies and disrupt our connection with the Earth’s electromagnetic energy.
Other materials that might seem harmless to the environment because they are of animal origin, such as wool, cashmere, or down, can lead to issues like soil erosion due to intensive grazing and animal mistreatment in practices like mulesing.
In keeping with our respect for divine creation—including our bodies and our energy—Yoga Crowd’s product line is manufactured within the European Union from materials that hold eco-friendly certifications. Due to their special characteristics, our products made with organic cashmere are produced in India by a family of artisans we support for their exquisite craftsmanship and the high quality of their materials.
We promote responsible, high-quality consumption
We currently own 20 times more clothing than our parents and grandparents did. Aparigraha, the fifth Yama of Patanjali, speaks of non-hoarding, living simply, and having only what is truly essential.
Our business model does not rely on excessive, irrational consumption. We seek to encourage responsible purchasing of products that make your yoga practice more comfortable and personal—while also caring for your health and maintaining a strong electromagnetic field.
We say NO to current labor exploitation
The collapse of Rana Plaza in Bangladesh in 2013 shed light on the inhumane working conditions that still persist in the fashion industry. Additionally, practices we believed to be abolished—such as child labor, forced labor, and union restrictions—are sadly still common in this sector.
All of these practices run counter to the Yama of ahimsa, or non-violence toward others. For this reason, at Yoga Crowd we pay close attention to production details from start to finish. Our pieces are manufactured within the European Union in line with national labor laws and the standards of the International Labour Organization.
We support traditional, sustainable craftsmanship in Europe
Traditional craftsmanship is once again taking center stage among designers and consumers because it’s seen as a sustainable, ethical option in an industry characterized by overproduction and a loss of exclusivity. Its secret lies in its long-lasting durability, slow production process, use of natural materials, and protection of local identities.
At Yoga Crowd, we have entrusted the making of our unique, exquisite designs to remarkable European artisans who work with natural materials and pour their passion into every piece.
We choose recycling and biodegradable materials to reduce waste
Only 15% of clothing that is no longer worn is recycled or donated; the rest ends up in landfills or is incinerated. It is estimated that a truckload of used clothing is discarded every second.
Considering that over 70% of clothing is made with synthetic materials that can take more than 200 years to decompose, at Yoga Crowd we aim to give new life to existing materials in those parts of our products that cannot be made from organic, natural fibers.
Our packaging and labels are made from plant-based fibers and other biodegradable organic derivatives that naturally break down over time. The materials we use are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), an international nonprofit organization that promotes responsible forest management worldwide.
